Top Event Trends for 2025

Events can be like fashion. Trends come and go while classic tried and true elements stay.
Incorporating event trends can help your business gain traction through social media, word of mouth, media coverage, and higher attendance rates.
Let’s explore the Top 5 Trends The Perfect Events Group expects to be HOT in 2025.
Tech in Events
Events are going to be organised in, track data on, and strongly incorporate apps. This will be through photo-sharing apps, attendee registration, data collection for various elements, and more.
Technology will also take up more room at events. It’s no longer sitting in the background. We’ll see VR, holograms, projection art, and interactive music become huge elements of all B2C events.
Event Venues
Blank Event Spaces are becoming the go-to. Corporate events used to need to be hosted at traditional, pre-decorated, or catered venues to be seen as successful or worthy of media. 2024 however, has seen the rise of blank event spaces, and 2025 will be the year they shine. This has come along with the societal shift of wealth perception.
These spaces allow you to completely customise your event, meaning you’re not limited to where you place your branding, what foods can be served, or what activations can be included. It’s entirely up to your creativity, event needs, and budget.
Out-sourced event staff
Businesses now see the value of their staff time and no longer undervalue this resource. No more allowing our staff to squander time stressing about event logistics while not having time to perform their primary function in their business.
This will lead to an increase of using event agencies. Often the price of using an external agency will be cheaper than the opportunity cost, resource wastage and overtime of events being organised internally.
There is also a new appreciation of event agency skills and the ability to maximise ROI on events. This is mainly due to the realisation that trying to cut costs during a cost-of-living crisis can come at the expense of business progress and event performance, which often then leads to more losses than savings. Here’s to the era of event agencies!
Minimal Event Decor
We’ve moved away from excessive event decor and will now feature one design focal point, like a floral wall, balloon arch, structural art piece or impressive entrance. There is no longer a need for florals on every table, large banners on every wall, or expensive decor at every turn. Instead, we’re moving to projections on walls, one impressive archway, or a minimal decor venue with skillful lighting to accentuate architectural features.
Brand Collaborations
Even the largest of brands will be seeking collaborations in 2025. This will be to share event costs, gain new audiences, and maximise media coverage (both traditional and digital). Sponsorship has been big in the corporate event space for quite some time, but collaborations will likely overtake traditional sponsorship for a period of time.
Don’t overlook the importance of sponsorship relations however, this style of event support will always be around.
The Perfect Events Group has been perfecting and expanding our experience in all of these fields. We’re so excited for 2025 and can’t wait to see how our clients implement all of these trends.
