2023 – A Year in Review

WOW! WOW! WOW!

2023 has been one of the biggest years in our company’s history. Our team has grown and changed, we’ve produced some of our largest events, travelled well over 50,000 km, expanded our business, and landed some epic projects for 2024. Let’s travel down memory lane before launching into a brand-new year with more vigour than our pink blazers can handle.

We started our year working with Equal Access for Autism, throwing a colourful and inspiring Gala to raise funds for the charity to help create accessible recreational facilities for those with autism and their support networks.

We then jet set across the globe to France and England, swapping our normal pink for red activewear, where we launched The Legacy Centenary Torch Relay 2023, presented by Defence Health and met His Royal Highness, King Charles III on our journey, when he kicked off the London relay leg. After travelling back home and traversed the entire country, we brought the Legacy flame to large cities and small country towns alike. This took most of our team on the road for 6 months, BUT don’t worry, we still had busy bees back in Melbourne managing events, activations and incoming enquiries.

Our home-base team worked on the AAPS workshop for top-notch plastic surgeons, a huge community event at One Centre Square and worked closely with Wyndham City Council to throw an award-winning event – The Wyndham Winter Street Party! Go Team!

Do you remember the moments in 2023 when people who’d never watched sports before became die-hard Matilda’s fans? We do and it was our team who produced the Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour AND the FIFA Fan Festival that filled Fed Square and fuelled the fire of the Matilda’s and their fans.

In July Perfect Events changed forever.

We underwent a huge transformation that has changed the way we operate forever. We aren’t just an events company (although, we never really were) so we made it official and expanded! Perfect Events has become The Perfect Events Group and now showcases our all inclusive creative agency vibe that produces events, offers partnerships/sponsorship services, and marketing and design services. This is the biggest change the company has seen in its 16 years and we’re thrilled with the support and uptake from our PEG community.

The Legacy Centenary Relay wrapped up in Melbourne in mid-October but there was no rest for the pink, as our team worked with our friends at the Advanced Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Workshop, Northcote Rise Festival Planning, Burwood Brickworks, Equal Access for Autism, Genea Fertility, Business Chicks Australia and so many other fantastic clients.

Our team has had a whirlwind year and here’s what some of them had to say about it:

Maddie – I learnt a lot this year and am grateful for the challenges, lessons and adventures that came my way in 2023

Shannon – A year of learning and growth, driven by the creativity and chaos of 2023

Veronica – 2023 is what I fondly refer to as “Hurricane Perfect Events”  A year of challenges that ended up being achievements, work moments that became notable history and experiences that changed me. (for the better, of course) Bring on 2024! 

Nat – I couldn’t have imagined the critical impact we have made to so many families on this journey – you can not put a price on the love, respect, and the opportunity to reflect and salute our amazing veteran families – what a chance to say THANK YOU and we see YOU!

Jess – No team has been hustling more or having more fun this year. Joining PEG was the best decision I made in 2023.

Charlotte – 2023 has been a year of growth, stress, fun and lots of red bull!!

Matt – It’s been great providing the perfect recipe of care and creativity for all of your events.

Cassidy – 2023 has been one hell of a year!

Oriana – What an epic year to be part of so many projects and opportunities at PEG – the variety of events, locations and occasions to connect with people throughout the year was one I will never forget.

We can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for us. We know it’s going to be amazing and can’t wait to have you on the journey with us.
